Your Bespoke Wedding Cake Journey
A wedding cake isn’t just something to cut into and then forget about. It’s a chance to pay homage to your love story and express your uniqueness as a couple.
The wedding cakes, celebration cakes, and dessert tables I create are fun, quirky, and mouth-wateringly delicious, and my personalised, hassle-free service makes it a joy to tick “sort cake” off your to-do list.
Not sure what is involved in ordering bespoke wedding cakes or custom celebration cakes? Daunted by the thought of having to come up with all the ideas?
Don’t worry! My tried-and-tested cake creation process is simple, straightforward, and completely stress-free.
My Custom Cake Creation Process
-
I only take 1-2 cake orders per week, so the first step is to get in touch asap once your date is confirmed (especially if you have a peak-season wedding or event).
We’ll briefly discuss design ideas, plus any dietary requirements (I offer vegan and gluten-free options), and I’ll provide you with an initial quote. You can secure your date with a non-refundable £100 booking fee.
-
Around 3-6 months before your celebration, we’ll have an online design consultation to discuss your theme, style, venue, and how your cake can best complement your vision for the day.
I’ll send you a tasting box before the consultation so you can sample a selection of sponges and fillings to find your perfect match. During the consultation, we’ll discuss styling ideas and logistical details, such as where your cake will be displayed.
I’ll then create digital sketches and send you 2-3 designs following our consultation so you can visualise what your cake will look like. You’ll be able to ask for any tweaks you'd like me to make so the finished cake fits your vision exactly!
-
Whatever the size of your event, once you’re happy with the finished design, I’ll send through a final invoice and order confirmation. This will detail everything about your cake: the flavour, size, and design, as well as any additional options such as dessert tables, styling, cake stand hire, etc. This will also include the date the final payment is due. You can find out more about this in my T&Cs.
Then, it's over to me to bring your incredible cake to life. If you’re having it delivered, I'll contact the venue directly to confirm times and set-up details. And that's it! Now all you need to do is eat cake! Enjoy!
Ruth was amazing from the offset of listening to the type of cake we wanted and our vision. She was able to deliver a cake which not only was beautiful to look at but also tasted amazing! The options for flavours was amazing and we really struggled whittling it down to our final 3 flavours for our 3 tier wedding cake. We would not hesitate to recommend Ruth!

All wedding cakes include delivery in the final cost, which will be charged based on your venue’s location.
Celebration Cake Pricing
Single-tier celebration cakes start from £175 plus delivery (if required).
Celebration single-tier cakes can be collected from Costessey, Norwich, but I discourage collections for cakes larger than this to avoid cake-tastrophes.

About My Bespoke Wedding Cakes
-
Please get in touch to discuss your requirements. Include as much information as you can on what you want, and I’ll get back to you to discuss your specific cake and provide you with a quote. Alternatively, you can book a 15-minute call with me to discuss your needs.

The sooner, the better, to ensure I have availability. I generally recommend 12-18 months in advance for wedding cakes, but I may be able to create something on shorter notice. This would depend largely on its complexity, so feel free to get in touch, and if I can, I’ll fit you in!
-
For weddings, a standard serving is considered to be a 1” x 1” slice. This means a tall 8” cake would serve about 40 portions, depending on how it’s cut and how hungry they are. Once I know your event's numbers, I can advise you on the best size.
-
I’m more than happy to discuss the occasion and come up with a design to suit your event. Many of my customers have given me one word or a vague theme, and I’ve not yet disappointed anyone with the design I’ve created to match it.

I welcome anything you can send me to make it clearer what you’d like. I can take inspiration from any number of things for your own personal design.
Please note I cannot copy another artist's design like-for-like, and I also can’t create cakes that involve copyrighted characters, logos, or images without the express permission of the owner.

Whilst I can use a recipe that omits a particular allergen, Mooreish Cakes is based in my home kitchen, where allergens cannot be eliminated, so there is a risk of cross-contamination. If your allergy is severe, I would recommend using a specialist bakery.

See my pricing section for the starting price for cakes, with the price increasing from there depending on how labour-intensive the chosen design is. From designing and baking from scratch to the intricate details, cakes take time and skill, and this will be reflected in the cost. Get in touch to discuss pricing for a specific cake you have in mind, or fill out your details to receive my wedding cake pricing guide.
-
I take BACS payments for my cakes. A non-refundable booking fee will be taken to secure your booking, and then the rest of the balance must be paid before delivery. This will be clearly detailed in your order confirmation email.
-
Assuming it isn’t devoured immediately, I recommend eating a cake within three days for optimum freshness. A cut cake should be kept in an airtight container at room temperature to prolong its quality. Unless specified, it isn’t recommended to refrigerate a cake.
